Six years of saving up paid off for Louise and Calum Todd when they bought a dated two bedroom lower villa on a quiet street in Edinburgh’s Corstorphine area. They’d initially only viewed tenement flats close to the train station so Louise could commute to her job as a screen printing technician in Glasgow, but when she got a new job in Edinburgh, their search area widened. The couple, who met as students while working in a supermarket, love being a 15-minute bus ride from the city centre but the same distance to the Pentland Hills.
