WE LOVE TOURING in the cooler months of the year. It makes you realise just how well insulated and heated modern caravans are.

Back in 2010 Kay and I went to York in December, during one of the coldest winters on record, and despite overnight temperatures dropping to minus double figures Celsius at times (it never got above zero during the day!), we were so warm in the caravan.
