Geoff Kaiser writes that he had been, "keeping an eye on the sunflowers in his backyard waiting for the day when one was on the verge of opening and the lighting was soft to not cause harsh shadows. The image was originally captured in colour, and then converted to monochrome in Lightroom. By good luck, a small spider was in the flower to give an extra bit of interest".
