The huntsman
AS he counts hounds back into the lorry on Christmas Eve by the lights of a quad bike, Gary sighs in satisfaction. His next day’s hunting will be Boxing Day, which may be the sport’s annual showcase and very important, but not an easy one for a huntsman with all the added attention and pressure. A cracking Christmas Eve puts everyone in a good mood for the rest of the festive season, however.
