The Glickenhaus featured in this issue reminds me that I have never owned an American car, though I well recall my father’s brief dalliance with a 1960s Buick Riviera in my youth. And I have always loved the US.
Since establishing with a bunch of optimists in 2003, I have made the annual Monterey Week pilgrimage over to California for The Quail, Laguna Seca and Pebble Beach religiously, up until a couple of years ago. Wonderfully glamorous and cool it was, and then motoring down Highway 1 to Monterey some two hours away, to set up a trestle table and start flogging the comics!
