Garden ornaments

My modest collection of railwayana began with the very first closed station that I visited. While out for the day with my dad and brother we stopped for picnic in what transpired to be the entrance to Fairford station. The track had been lifted and the buildings were derelict but all were still standing. On the overgrown platform, the station nameboard had been broken in half and the ‘O’ had fallen off. I picked it up and so collected my first item of railwayana.
