Consider this the healing season. After the hot, dry summer and fall, with wildfires scorching huge swaths of the West, this is a time to recover, take stock of what we’ve lost—but also what we’ve retained—and look ahead to a gentler season.
We’ll be hunting elk in Montana, Idaho and parts of Wyoming that are over biologists’ population objectives. And you can be sure we’ll be packing a predator call.
