ACD REUNION STILL A DOOZIE

In 1971, when Old Cars reported on the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Club Reunion in Auburn, Ind., on the cover of the ›rst issue, the club was up to its 16th annual meet. The value of the 115 cars displayed in 1971 was reported to be valued at $1 million, ACD designers Gordon Buehrig and Herb Newport were present, and the ›rst major antique automobile auction in the Midwest was held there that Labor Day. Things have changed in the last 50 years, yet also remained the same.

At the 2021 Club Reunion, its 66th annual meet in Auburn, there were 175 ACD cars registered —
