As more of us add a gravel bike to our garages, and some of us even add the discipline into our racing programme, we wanted to find out what we all ought to know to really master gravel riding. So we turned to some of the finest male and female international and domestic specialists to give us their advice and tips on how to make progress.

The burgeoning UK gravel scene is still largely dominated by committed amateurs, but over in the United States it is now a fully-fledged and growing discipline that has even tempted some former WorldTour riders away from the road and to a full-time gravel career.
