This gun certainly has it all, with a fascinating provenance to excite. It was built for Lady Meux, one of the wealthiest ladies in the land at the time but with a dubious history that caused many an eyebrow to rise. Provenance is everything in the collector’s world as it elevates the humdrum to the extraordinary with a consequent rise in value; it is also a constant temptation to the unscrupulous.
