Standing in Cheshire’s coveted Golden Triangle – a magnet over the years for Premier League stars including Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham and Marcus Rashford – the house that multimillionaire businesswoman Nicole Sealey shares with her former goalkeeper husband Joe is only half an hour or so’s drive from the place she moved to when she first left home. But in every other respect, it is a million miles away.

Having quit school with no qualifications, Nicole, 47, was 15 when she upped sticks and relocated alone from Essex to Stockport to start a beauty course. She lived in a tiny bedsit. It was a bleak time.

“It’s only in hindsight I see just how big a struggle it was for me back then,” the glamorous star of the ITVBe show – now back on our screens for a drama-packed 14th series. “I’d gone through a difficult time, my father and stepmother had split up and I’d been through a tough thing with my mum. I was rebelling.
