RESTING BUT CHEERFUL AT WINDSOR CASTLE THE QUEEN WITH THE SUPPORT OF HER FAMILY LOOKS AHEAD TO A POIGNANT EVENT

‘Her Majesty’s doctors have advised that she should continue to rest for at least the next two weeks’

Throughout her seven-decade reign she has put duty above all else and, as the Queen looks forward to her Platinum Jubilee next year, her loyal family is preparing to be at her side so she can continue to serve her people. The 95-year-old monarch was seen back in action last week for the first time since being admitted to hospital for an undisclosed condition.

She appeared bright and cheerful as she held virtual audiences from Windsor Castle on Tuesday and Thursday. She will restrict herself to such light duties for at least a fortnight, however, under doctors’ orders.

One of her remote engagements saw her present the Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry to British author and poet David Constantine.
