Total heaven on a plate!

Walnut & cheese tear 'n share scones with walnut butter

SERVES 10

225g (8oz) self-raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp English mustard powder
100g (3½oz) butter, diced
100g (3½oz) Cheddar cheese, grated
75g (2¾oz) California Walnut Pieces, chopped, plus 25g (1oz) for the butter
3 tbsp chopped chives
150ml (5½fl oz) milk

1 Preheat the oven to 200°C/Gas Mark 6. Grease a large baking sheet.

Mix the flour, baking powder and mustard in a large bowl and rub in 50g (1¾oz) butter until it resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in 75g (2¾oz) Cheddar, 2 tbsp chives and all but 2 tbsp California Walnuts. Using a round bladed knife, mix in the milk to give a soft dough, taking care not to over
