‘I’ve always told stories: as a child I used to walk round my parents’ back garden, lost in my own world as I made up stories in my head. I loved creative writing at school, and I dreamt of one day writing a novel. But one thing always got in my way… imposter syndrome. Every time I tried to put the ideas in my head down on paper, I’d get about 10,000 words in and then read it back and despair.
