ecember is a time for giving and International Volunteer Day, on the fifth, is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the contribution of people who give the most precious gift of all, the gift of their time. Almost everyone will have volunteered for something at some point, and we will certainly all have benefited from the work of volunteers, although their work can often go unnoticed.
