FACELIFTED BRONCO II

Along with the Ford Ranger compact pickup it was based upon, in 1989, the Bronco II received its ›rst restyling since its introduction ›ve years earlier. While the sheet metal behind the cowl remained the same, the all-new, squared-off front clip was styled along the same lines as Ford’s full-size F-Series trucks.

The ’89 Bronco II grille was a framed plastic grid of two horizontal bars and three vertical bars creating 12 squares. It was ›anked on both corners by aerodynamic, ›ush composite headlamps (which used halogen bulbs that were easily replaceable from under the hood) with wrap-around turn signal lenses.
