In the Mar/Apr 2022 issue, contributor Christopher Whitfield will examine the links between schooling and nation-building, with a focus on Oscar Murillo’s ongoing (2013–) project, where the artist compiles sketches (an example of which is seen above) by students all over the globe, foregrounding their affinities amid their unique contexts.
