ALL NINE ARE FINE!
THEY weren’t all expected to live – nonuplets are extremely rare and the nine babies were tiny, weighing between 500g and 1kg each.
But what a difference six months makes. The five girls and four boys have gone from strength to strength, more than doubling in size, and are now well enough for their parents to start making plans to take them home to Mali.
Mom Halima Cissé (26) couldn’t be happier. “All of them are getting on very well and are a joy to look after,” she says.
