It has been a month of highs and lows – frustrating, exciting and sad, all in just a few weeks. A few weeks ago, we had to say a very sad farewell to ‘the main man’, our 13-year-old cocker Harry.

Harry was a very special dog and taught me so much. He was the original versatile cocker; not only was he a first-class picking-up and beating dog, but he was also a brilliant shooting dog. I have lost count of how many hours we wandered the countryside in pursuit of pheasants, partridges and rabbits.
