oat’s milk is a natural source of lactic acid. This alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) encourages the skin’s natural renewal process by helping to dissolve the bonds between the outermost layer of). This process makes way for the fresh, glowing skin hiding just underneath the surface. Far from an aggressive chemical peel, this shedding process is invisible to the naked eye: you shouldn’t experience any sensitivity or see any peeling. In fact, acid exfoliants are often less damaging to the skin than more crude physical scrubs. At a gentle concentration (as found in goat’s milk), lactic acid can brighten and smooth even the most sensitive of skins.
