    1 HOW TO RE-PAINT A CONSOLE

    Transform a hallway console with just a lick of paint and give guests a warm welcome as they come into your home this festive season.

    • Start by giving your piece of furniture a good clean with a damp cloth and leave to dry.

    • Remove drawers and all handles. Lightly screw in a piece of dowel or a screw so you can still open any doors while painting.

    • If using chalk paint, you shouldn’t need to sand or prime first, but if you’re opting for a satin paint finish, it’s good to do both to ensure the best finish.
