Q&A Jens Voigt

Cyclist: Thanks to Joss Lowden and Alex Dowsett, the Hour record is back in the news. Can you talk us through your experience of breaking the record in 2014?

Jens Voigt: I went into my last season badly prepared. I’d been cutting half an hour off training here, half an hour there, and I got my head kicked in. I was mad at myself. I didn’t want to just disappear into nowhere, like fading away, so I figured I’d talk to the team, to Trek, about the Hour as my last event before I retired.
