MINECRAFT: THE WILD UPDATE

Minecraft Live offered the now-customary look at the future of the core game, announcing – officially – version 1.19, The Wild Update. We knew an update was coming soon after certain features were delayed from the original release of Caves & Cliffs, and the good news is that the second half – now officially numbered 1.18 – is still going to come out this year.

However, The Wild Update adds even more on top of that, while also absorbing a couple of new features we were expecting to see in Cave & Cliffs Part 2. The kicker is that The Wild Update won’t launch until 2022 – but here’s what you’ll get as a reward for your patience!

THE DEEP DARK BIOME

Originally scheduled for inclusion in Caves & Cliffs, the Deep Dark biome has been expanded and improved and will now drop as part of The Wild Update. That means we can also expect its associated mob – the warden – to FINALLY arrive at the same time. We know it’s been a long wait!
