Popular Afrikaans songwriter and singer Appel knew there was only one crew to call when he wanted to live his dream of adventuring in Africa. And, as far as we know, there was only one vehicle on his list. No surprise that Appel, also known as Christoph Kotze, headed straight to the Toyota side of town and handpicked a Land Cruiser 79 Series double-cab, with the 4.5-litre V8 diesel engine.
