Ken Pullen, read an email announcing that he’d be a recipient of the prestigious Australian Fire Service Medal (AFSM) this year, he thought that someone was pulling his leg.
After double-checking that it was genuine, he was quick to qualify his win. “I mean, I really appreciate the fact I’ve been awarded the AFSM, I was stunned. But really, this is not just for me. When people have congratulated me, I’ve pointed out that it’s on the shoulders of so many, including my wife Kerry and our four kids.”
