NEW OPENING: EBB-DUNEDIN

Editor’s PICK

While international travel remains largely off-limits for the foreseeable future, we’re making the most of discovering all of the new accommodation offerings sprouting up around the country. Dunedin has long topped FQ’s must-visit destination list—which. With a mantra of ‘come as you are, go as you please’, Ebb brings to life the essence of luxury accommodation minus any of the pretension that tends to come with the aforementioned. Created in collaboration with local artist Simon Kaan, Ebb’s impressive glass exterior features Kaan’s artistic interpretation of the heads of the Otago Harbour. Once inside, Ebb continues to blur the boundaries between art gallery and accommodation with an impressive collection of artwork on display throughout. A different artist is on display on each floor of the four-level atrium, and when the Dunedin weather gods are in agreement, the roof opens to stars above.
