Ruminaja Ali was the first straight Egyptian Arabian I saw at U.S. Nationals and he took my breath away,” says Robin Lee. “He was my ideal of what an Arabian horse should look like. I decided that I wanted to breed that type of Arabian and contribute to the small percentage of Arabians that are straight Egyptian to help carry on their heritage.
“There are two horses that come close to my ideal. One is Hadban al Shaqab, a perfect example of the classic desert Arabian and I am so blessed that he has come here to Aleah Arabians. Of the horses I have bred it would have to be Atum. A grandson of Al Adeed al Shaqab, Hadban’s maternal brother, Atum has substance, type, in your tent loving personality, has the elusive black coloring and is stunningly beautiful. And, his other grandsire is Thee Desperado. To me two of the all time greats of the breed!
