Wrekin Roadways was never as big a company as Pickfords, Wynns or Sunters, but is equally well-known for moving the biggest loads during the heyday of heavy haulage. The company had a fleet of suitable tractors and trailers, moving up the weight scale over the years, alongside its more mundane general haulage operations. With a number of regular customers, mainly across the West Midlands, Wrekin Roadways was kept busy over the years, moving all sorts of abnormal loads.
