A new golden age of racing all-rounders

When even Eddy Merckx says that a rider is the new Eddy Merckx, we know we are in the presence of talent. Tadej Pogacar’s achievement in adding Il Lombardia to his wins at Liège and the Tour de France impressed the great Belgian enough to provoke the comparison. In an interview with Tuttobici, Merckx even pointed out that Pogacar is two Tours to the good at 23, while he didn’t win his first until he was 24.
