Philip studied Classics and English at Oxford University and is an author of children’s books that are all inspired by different myths and legends, from stories of Merlin to Ancient Greek and Roman gods.

Can you tell us about the books you write?

I write books with a mythical or legendary basis. was a new version of the Minotaur story, still set in Ancientis about a race against time to save the ancient world from the monstrous Python. And my new book, , is for older children – it’s about a boy who finds mysterious things happening on his uncle’s farm, and there are definitely elements from folklore in it.
