In just the few words above, spoken to Rhythm in 2015, you can get a real feel for the calibre of both the drummer and the man that was the late, great Bobby Orr.

Bobby, who passed away aged 91 last March, had the skills to become the only British drummer to land the coveted Goodman gig, but also the humility to never assume a compliment, even of his own sublime playing.
