Keep the make-up light and fresh, and accessories, sleek. The more adventurous can turn the romanticism on its head, simply by switching to bolder make-up (dark kohled eyes, deep mouth, etc). Ditch heels for boots, and throw on a jacket to further toughen the delicateness. The trend is open to all other kinds of interpretations as well.
