THE BERETTA A400 Upland is the company’s take on a modern semi-automatic shotgun intended primarily for hunters. Most conspicuous is the two-piece stock with a concertina-shaped black rubber cover a few inches behind the pistol grip. This conceals the Beretta Kick-Off hydraulic dampening system which reduces recoil using hydraulic dampers Similar to those found in cars. The recoil energy is gradually dissipated by the dampers and berreta claims that this latest technology reduces felt recoil by up to 50%, rendering the shotgun suitable for even the most recoil-shy.
