Although Amber W confesses to being a bit of a ‘lost cause’ in her house. ‘When we last went away in March, I hid some jewellery away, as you do,’ she said. ‘Only problem is I hid it too well. It’s been seven months and I still can’t find it!’ April’s family had way more luck when their cat Dusty went missing. ‘We’d given up,’ said April. ‘Then eight months later, a vet 25 kilometres away called us to say Dusty had been brought in by a kind stranger. We never found out where he’d been all that time.’ Amber H was also lucky with her family’s cat. ‘Mifty was lost for a week and we were resigned to her not coming back,’ said Amber. ‘But then Mum heard a faint meow and opened the bottom drawer of her dresser. There was Mifty, not very happy, but alive!’
