HAVE you ever looked up at the night sky and wondered what was out there? We know there are stars, planets, the moon and sun, but is that all?
Much further than the naked eye can see there are shimmering, floating and shooting objects. Some of these objects are comets, but most of them are in the far reaches of our solar system, so they’re too far away for us to see.
We’re only aware of their existence thanks to telescopes and space probes that send images back to Earth. But every now and then comets pass close enough to Earth for us to see them. If you’ve ever witnessed such a bright trail in the night sky,
