POWER RANKING
“The only thing I actually do on Zwift is race – that’s my training”

ZWIFT POWER RANKING:1
“If you want to see everything you can do wrong in training, I’m a pretty good example,” laughs Joakim Lisson. But it doesn’t seem to have done the 23-year-old Dane much harm – he’s currently sitting pretty at the top of the ZwiftPower men’s individual ranking.
“For me, Zwift is probably six days a week,” he explains. “And the only thing I actually do on Zwift, is race — that’s my training.” He used to ride outdoors, riding for the Danish BHS Continental team in 2018, and holds scores of Strava KoMs, including on a climb the Tour will tackle next year. But Lisson says it’s indoors all the way now for him.
“The main thing is that it’s fun,” he says. “I’m a competitive person and I like racing indoors and outdoors, but it needs to be fun for me. The races on Zwift, you don’t sit there and do three hours and just do some intervals — that’s not fun.”
