IBM PERSONAL COMPUTER AUGUST 1981
The first IBM PC laid the foundations of today’s PC ecosystem. Its open architecture and support for third party expansion cards, peripherals and software remain central tenets of today’s PCs.
APPLE LISA JANUARY 1983
The Apple Lisa was one of the first computers to feature a graphical user interface. Though considered a technically advanced machine, its very high asking price stopped it from gaining traction. It was quickly surpassed by the Macintosh.
