Effective security in a rural set-up
When considering our options regarding firearm choices in a rural security set-up, we should look at the likely scenario for which said firearm will probably be most urgently needed and used. Here we are interested in the most practical option. Attackers normally operate in groups of at least three, often five, and numbers of ten and more have been recorded in provinces like KwaZulu-Natal. At least one of the attackers will have a firearm, while the others will carry a mix of knives and improvised weapons. As the numbers and member count of gangs grows, we can reasonably expect more serious firepower to be used in attacks like these in future.
