THE SUBJECT matter this month is a six kilometre section of rural road known as the Bromelton House Road. Yes, it is only six kilometres long, but it is so much a barometer of the ills that plague this road transport industry – and it is also a measure of the degree of corruption within our political system.
Bromelton House Road can be used to bypass the centre of Beaudesert in south east Queensland. Politicians like to award themselves the title of ‘honourable’. This story undermines credence to that term in big measure.
