HOW I WROTE

Dr Himali McInnes is an Aucklandbased family doctor whose interest in writing found time to expand when 2020’s Covid lockdown reduced her medical workload. To her short stories and poems she adds this unique book, which describes 14 cases where a medical practitioner’s views have been profoundly affected by an encounter with one patient.
