Battle of the beans

While beans may be famed for being the musical fruit, there’s a lot more to them than meets the ears.

Beyond being the backbone of hummus, Mexican chilli and my favourite dish ever, dal, legumes are nutrient-dense and rich in fibre, B vitamins and protein. But which bean or legume is the healthiest?
