ubai might be known for its relentless obsession with the world’s tallest buildings and the world’s highest swimming pools, but one particular record-breaking opening has peaked our interest: Deep Dive Dubai (), which became the world’s deepest swimming pool (60 metres, if you were wondering) when it opened in July 2021. And it’s truly spectacular: a cylindrical swimming pool that doesn’t just contain 14 million litres of water, but a motorbike, sports car, bicycle, chessboard, bench and an entire apartment, complete with bookshelves. And it’s not just a gimmick, either – as well as trying dives and freediving taster sessions, visitors can sign up for PADI scuba diving and freediving courses, too.
