Bountiful Basil

Bountiful is cer tainly a description that applies to basil. Not only for its soft, luscious and fragrant leaves that are pickable all summer long, but for its many varieties.

At last count it was possible to find 11 different varieties, including those with cinnamon- and lemon-flavoured leaves, spicy Thai basil, purple- and red-leaved basils, those with ruffled leaves and the pink- and white-flowering garden perennials that are simply the best for bees.
