Spa Valley celebrates £250,000 boost for locomotive overhauls
STAFF and volunteers at the SpaValley Railway are celebrating a surprise £250,000 donation from the estate of a life long enthusiast who died two years ago at the age of 89. The unexpected bequest will go towards the ongoing overhauls of two of the railway’s 0-6-0T steam locomotives, Class A1X ‘Terrier’No. 650Sutton and LMS ‘Jinty’ No. 47493.
