Dresda Triton

I SPOTTED THIS TRITON AT A SMALL BIKE SHOW organised by Mark Green, whose Indian Enfield twin graced these pages last year. When an event advertises itself as being an “interesting and unusual motorcycle show”, it needs to live up to the name. This did... Ducatis, Laverdas and a customised Lambretta Vega with immaculate late-1970s Harleys and all manner of other rarities. But there, tucked away at the back, propped up against a wall was Steve Page’s black Dresda Triton, admired by all who saw it.

Steve, who runs a bike and occasionally car workshop – Bridge Motor Services, in Weston-super-Mare – acquired the Dresda in a bit of a state a few years ago. Built by Dresda for Steve’s friend Ron, the Triton was commissioned in 1998 and finished two years later in 2000.

Originally it was a 1970s-style Triton, but Dresda stripped and rebuilt it from scratch. For Ron, money was no object. It was he who decided that it had to be the “best of the best”.
