The Rapide from the Dutch machinery maker Schuitemaker, which has been part of the SV Group with Veenhuis for two years now, is pretty much the only forage wagon to use a trailing pick-up … and it has been for several years. That doesn’t change on the new 1000 series, but it's now even wider, measuring 1.92m tine-to-tine or 2.00m if going with the DIN stat.
When empty, 2.7t of the forage wagon’s 12t mass sits on the K80 spoon hitch. The drawbar itself is unchanged: it is still short and narrow with the pto shaft sitting in a straight line — ideal. Besides the pto, there are the customary load-sensing hoses and electric cables that all need attaching before the start of play.
