Some bikes just take longer to sort than others – fact. However, when you realise your contributions to CMM on a particular machine are more like annual school reports than regular updates it’s very much time to digitus extractum! (Scoop – isn’t it ‘extractus?’ Bertie…)
In truth the bike has been moving along quite nicely behind the scenes but nothing earth-shattering or remarkable. Status as of early autumn 2020 was that the engine had been rebuilt by Rob Pemberton at Spa Motorcycles and signed off as being finally completed. With the engine now back in rural Bedfordshire it was time to rehome it in the modified Rickman chassis once again but, as you might expect there were ‘issues’.
