IT WAS a crime that could have been ripped from the pages of a murder-mystery thriller. A wealthy businessman’s wife appears to take her own life at a luxury hotel after an argument. Then it emerges he’d been having an affair and is accused of killing her and staging the scene of her death to look like suicide.
Many thought it was the end of the saga when the Supreme Court of Appeal recently upheld 52-year-old Jason Rohde’s guilty verdict: he had indeed murdered his wife, Susan (47), in July 2016, and manipulated the scene of the crime, the court found.
