NEUVILLE KEEPS HYUNDAI IN 2022 WRC TITLE RACE

Thierry Neuville claimed a dominant victory on Rally Spain, the penultimate round of this year’s World Rally Championship, thereby keeping the embers of Hyundai’s manufacturers’ campaign aglow until the final round at Monza next month.

Britain’s Elfyn Evans took a solid second place, minimising the damage to Toyota’s lead over its Korean rival. The Welshman also took momentum away from team leader Sebastien Ogier in their battle for this year’s drivers’title, narrowing the gap to 17 points with a maximum of 30 left on the table.
