TREVOR HEMMINGS
AN ardent racing supporter, businessman and philanthropist, whose green, yellow and white colours are synonymous with Aintree, Mr Hemmings (pictured, above) died on 11 October aged 86.
The three-time Grand National-winning owner has been remembered as a “gentleman and friend to the sport”. His links to equestrianism run far deeper than the Aintree showpiece, won by Hedgehunter (2005), Ballabriggs (2011) and Many Clouds (2015), and well beyond the racing world.
